Prambanan Temple

Prambanan Temple is one of Hindu's shrines, Located In 17km from Yogyakarta, Indonesia, South East Asia. These temples build in 9^th century, with 224 temples. In this area there is 3 main temples, first is Shiva temple, the highest and in the middle of Brahma and Vishnu temples. In Shiva temple, you can see Shiva statue and other characters whose have connection with Shiva, like his wife (Durga), and his teacher (Agastya). Inside of Brahma temple, there is only Brahma statue, and in Vishnu temple, there is only Vishnu statue. In these temples there is a lot relieves on the temples wall, this carved object represent the story of Ramayana (Ancient Java mythology)

There is the legend, one day one man in love with a woman, She promise to that man, she will marry him, if this man can build 1000 statue in one night, unfortunately, this man only can make 999 statue, He gets angry and cursed the woman into a statue and until know there is statue called Loro Jongrang in Shiva’s temple area as durga, Shiva wife.

When its full moon night, near the prambanan there is theater that show theatrical about Ramayana story. They performed at night, I don’t think they performed everyday. Actually you have to see this, they play really great and you can see the view of prambanan temples at night with full moon, it’s really beautiful.

Shwedagon Pagoda

Shwedagon Pagoda is one of Buddhist shrines, located in center of Yangon city, Myanmar, South East Asia. They estimate this pagoda established 2500 years ago. This pagoda cover by gold that’s why they called Shwedagon because shwed means gold and dagon is name of Yangon city long time ago. This place has one big stupa arounding with 64 small stupa (stone structure in the shape of a bell) and one stupa. Borobudur Temple

The Borobudur Temple is one of the biggest Buddhist temples around the world, Build in 8th century, located in near Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia, South East Asia. Borobudur founded in 18th century. Before Borobudur founded, Borobudur only one big hill until people start digging and realize there is ruin temples under the hill. Near Borobudur temple there’s two other hills, There is belief that one of the creator of Borobudur sleeping and become one of the hill. (well the guide tell me). And from the history, when Borobudur first build, the stick another rock to another rock with eggs, but right now it’s already using cement. There is ten floor, 1 til 6th is square form, the others is circle form. There is a lot of Buddha statue, a lot of them not complete anymore. Beside that, there is relieves that carves a lot of story.

if you came here, don’t forget to reach and touch a Buddha statue inside the big stupa with lot of holes (between 6th-9th floor) there is belief, if you can touch with your hand from small hole, your wish will come true.
